Boeing, once a company, with a strong sense of belonging, driven by engineers taking proud in producing high quality airplanes became corrupt when financial guys, obsessed with cost cutting and pumping the share price up took the power. Anybody know now how it ended.
EM is following the same path with just a 10 years time lag.

Do not insult Boeing.

Reminds me of Enron story...very similar root causes
The Boeing door problem is solely due to broken systems, overly complex systems, and lack of accountability all within Boeing. The documentary "Downfall" on Netflix that's based on the woke and corrupted Boeing very well matches how Exxon is now.
Engineers got it right. The field didn’t follow their directions And tighten the bolts properly
OP Exxon is not even a Boeing. Exxon is a dead company. Woods ki-led it.
I dont think its Boeing....I very much think about it like GE. What happened to GE after Welch left, is exactly whats going to happen to XOM after Woods departs. We are building a house of cards and just waiting for the first one to fall....:)
Actually, the door malfunctioned after takeoff…. Clearly not an engineer.
With doors exploding on approach doesn’t look good .
