Thread regarding L3Harris Technologies layoffs

Layoffs info

L3HARRIS in Clifton New Jersey will be reducing its managerial workforce by over 30 people in February. Those directly involved in touch labor such as manufacturing unionized assemblers and testers will not be affected. Union leadership was not advised of any pending layoffs among its membership. However, at least 30 possibly more salaried people will be given termination notices next month. They include production planners, depot ops people, customer service, and quality control. A small number of secretarial people may also be affected.

LOL. You can always tell a post from a pseudo-manager with a fake degree. He's desperately waving the company flag hoping someone important is reading his post and can figure out who he is. It's no surprise the clean room is failing. The last time I visited there, it looked like a "sanctuary company". I've never seen so many feckless mutts in one place. It's too late for Malborne to save this place. The 5-year-plan to close Clifton is a year behind schedule. Time to put this sick animal down before it drags the rest of SAS down with it.

Stop spreading rumors and concentrate on getting the work done to make money for the company so they can pay you a higher salary and bonus. What a bunch of id--tss!

It’s the 7th and I have heard of NO layoffs in Clifton? All I see is them adding more people on top but they are ALL based in Palm Bay which I suppose will take the place of Clifton all together in the future!
Why would they cut quality when Clifton can’t get anything right! The upper management is top heavy in ALL locations not just Clifton- we shall see…

Clifton: It's Friday Feb. 2. Most of the middle management people have taken today off. There were very few here yesterday as well. I guess they are avoiding the inevitable. We've heard this month will be especially rough on managers. The operations assemblers and test technicians don't seem worried but, the supervisors and management people have been walking around looking like they lost a million dollars somewhere. Workmanship defects in micro still plague us with a failure rate of nearly 50% as most of the experienced people have left the company. Rumor has it, a lot of management people will be let go this month. Stay tuned.

Clifton will continue to purge the facility of legacy ITT employees that are at the top of the pay scale and the bottom of the skill set. Many of them have either lied about having a degree or have no degree at all.

Thursday February 1st will be the day in Clifton when a significant number of salaried and non-touch labor people will be getting bad news. If any of them had been paying attention they would have seen this coming. Smaller reporting groups will be merged under fewer supervisors. and likewise with managers. The leadership team at this location has been top heavy for a long time and a major correction will happen this month.

I've heard customer service and quality in SAS as well. Is that true?

There are at least two Sr. Directors on the chopping block in SAS, also.
