RSR and lay offs

Any one know if people being laid off got RSR? If you get RSR does that mean you are on the layoff list?

RSR = restricted share rights.

issuance if restricted stock is all automatic now if your bonus is >=$50k, you'll get like 20+% of it in stock with a 4 year vest. nothing to do if you are getting laid off or not, although it gets sold as anyway for people to feel vested in the company and to get them to do a good job to drive higher stock price. If you get laid off you get to keep those shares and they will continue to vest, as of the last few years, at your current vesting schedule.

What does RSR mean?

RSRs keep you in the gilded cage since they vest over 4 years and until you are eligible for retirement or are lucky enough to get laid off it is hard to leave that money.

From management, RSR awards are a way of telling the teammate that they are valued and the company would like them to stick around. Less likely to leave if they’re leaving money on the table.

Totally separate considerations but maybe they shouldn't be! Why pay RSR if you want them to quit? Like many other things at WF, there is little to no thought give to the big picture and no direction from HR.
