With the change in leadership, will we see a change in culture, a change in assortment or product mix, and a change in store environment? At this moment, the stores and the assortment look as tired as the colleagues. Will Tony try an elevate Macy's to its former glory? At least the big stores in upscale malls should look special. We all look like a JC Penny!

There is no future at macys its just a job long time employee here we are all just a number.
My store wants to stay in the past. We have older workers who get preferential treatment with ISM and never close. They don’t want anything to change. We also continue to give unfair accommodations to some workers. One example of accommodation is for two workers who don’t close because they can’t see in the night to drive. Another accommodation is for someone who doesn’t work Sundays. We hire people who aren’t flexible for store hours and I doubt this will change.
It’s been a week and leadership hasn’t done anything stupid. I’m impressed
It takes skill to keep a company in the toilet. Well done Jeff, thanks for the memorys
How are s this company in the toilet? How many more years of mediocre management are we going to have. We need an outsider instead of recycling.
Most stores are older buildings that have not been renovated oe maintained for decades. There isn't enough money to fix them now if they wanted.
Stock will be in single digits soon enough. They need to seriously close like 100-200 stores and just dot.com
No, he's an insider. Waste of time and space
JC Penney looks better and in fuller stocked than our Macy's in Ventura California.
It's feeling like 2021 with inventory levels low and our sales floor looking more like a dance floor than a retail establishment. We haven't seen much in the way of stock since inventory and we lost three managers in the massacre this week.
Not sure what the future holds, a lot of uncertainty out there with new divisions and region leadership and visits from corporate already on the schedule. Our store is getting a ton of pressure for presale for when the new year starts the week after next from the new division, everyone is scared and nobody wants to be the low performing store or division.
Not sure what Tony can do, most stores in our division are planned down for the spring season, which means less inventory and more crazy expectations to come up with store events to bring in customers. Not easy when you lost 30% of the managers in the store and can't even fill hours because we cut 30 seasonal jobs and didn't add any regular positions.
