Thread regarding U.S. Bank layoffs

More incompetence from Managing Committee

In today’s Minneapolis Star Tribune:
In the aftermath of the insurrection on the U.S. Capitol, many of Minnesota’s largest corporations publicly announced they were pausing campaign donations to all members of Congress, including those who joined Trump’s push to block the certification of the 2020 election.
“They’ve quietly picked it back up,” said Bruce Freed, president of the Center for Political Accountability, which advises corporations on responsible donations. “They’ve reverted to spending as usual, and they are engaging in spending for access.”

U.S. Bancorp was of course on this list and “declined to comment”

Keep shining a light and directing your anger at this band of fools (AC and direct reports) who boast about their IQ’s and expect your labor to make them richer

Reader comments are gold on this article. Overwhelmingly against it and the companies listed. Americans don’t like this behavior.

Unfortunately the PAC is just a legalized bribery....and I agree with that other comment that Trump is easily going to win this and that at least leadership knows enough that is where the PAC money needs to go

Just how bad will the bonuses be this year for those not being laid off?

Could have fully funded the incentive plan. Chose political bribery

Leadership is probably thinking since it looks like Trump is going to win 2024 ...my guess is they are acting accordingly with the money.

They always play both sides just in case.

This board is also not about general complaints about your employer. It's about layoffs.

This board is titled TheLayoff. It's about layoffs, not national politics.
