Why doesn’t Nike give us free food on campus? Just a curious question and not a complaint before you guys start disliking this.

Another welfare baby
When did food become personal care? LOL
I have worked on projects at Nike where they have fed us very well for like 6 months...
Questions and comments such as this are cringe-worthy. Maybe your employer should start paying for your gas, dry cleaning, hair cuts and all other personal costs. These types of questions reflect an entitlement and naivety that is borderline out of touch with reality. Health care and retirement plans - yes. Personal care - that’s on you, buddy, not your employer. Get real.
Free food, massages, daycare, etc. were all tech and tech startup venture capital, zero percent loan funded perks that were never sustainable long term. I know of former colleagues who work at startups who have seen free food perks go away as soon as the VC funding options dried up last year. Even the big players like Google are clawing back a lot of food benefits. Just be glad Nike isn't clawing back 401K matching or health benefits (yet). I think sometimes people take for granted that a lot of employers don't offer things that we might consider basic benefits let alone somehwat over the top things like free food. Also, the food at Nike IS a benefit because it's partially subsidized. It's relatively healthy food that costs significantly less than if you went to buy a meal at any decent restaurant.
We have amazing would class gyms and fitness facilities. Plus the encouragement to use them and make sport a daily habit. Appreciation is the beginning of happiness.
They took away “fuel stations” in SWB. The ones with WATER. They certainly won’t feed us.
For all the glitz and glam Nike is not a tech company. It doesn’t do most of their soft benefits.
And you missed the st------b meetings by a decade or two. There’s no Portland spirit left just generic megacorp.
Maybe MO could subside our food with the options she sold before the layoffs announcement
I get the OP. There are several corporate offices that do this for their employees & its an added benefit
Why do you think it's your employer's job to feed you?
Cost. They don’t want to pay for this benefit. They pay you money instead. Bring your own lunch and save.
seriously? just laid off 10% of innovation and about to make more cuts, why would we pay for food versus keep valuable employees?
