Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

I find it laughable that our Leadership still

Likes to pitch the notion that ATT is a premium brand of some sorts. TMobile is not inferior and in most cases they provide a faster product due to their strategic moves. I just see ATT with no identity and simply existing. They really didn't even give Time Warner a chance but as expected they did fumble and bumble right out of the gates. They never seem to be able to leave anything alone. It must be metricked to death and thrown on Powerpoints.

Not true at all. Succession pretty much swept the Emmys and Golden Globes. The current season of True Detective with Jodie Foster is excellent. The Last of Us, The White Lotus, Barry, House of the Dragon

2 of those were in development well before AT&T bought TW and a 3rd is a follow on to GoT. I'm not really sold. Not to mention, Barry s-cks. Like a Netflix show - good premise, good for 2 episodes, then you never watch it again.

"Think when was the last time HBO had something worth watching? Oh, yeah, that was right before we bought them. Now it's cr-p."

Did they stumble a bit for a while because of our arrogant and inept leadership? Sure they did. But they are firing on all cylinders at the moment and that point can't really be argued.

"...TMobile is not inferior ..."

Thank you, Captain Obvious- they have been handing us our lunch for several years.

And if you were a long-term management employee at TMO holding onto their stock in your 401K , or any options you may have gotten, well, you'd be rich.

Kind of a different story here.

"Can they do that"

If you mean can they pull off a profitable acquisition or roll out a superior product offering, no, they cannot do that.

The best and most telling article ever was NYT worst merger in history. That was so spot on.

As the world turns….failed strategies and the corporate suits keep their jobs.
