They are not trying to avoid severance

Top brass is simply too ignorant and or arrogant to think of the ramifications.

NO ONE will quit because of RTO. You will just quiet quit and play the system until you find another job and/or get pip'd years later. Repeat the last two lines again.

So it is not a cost saving effort to force attrition. If they were serious they should offer walk-away packages. But they won't because they know it would be a mass exodus and embarrassment.

I mean I won’t quit over it, but I’m for sure looking for another job if I don’t get laid off next week when the hammer falls. Come ooooon severance! crosses fingers tightly
