Broadcom acquisition rumors?

Hey all,

Anyone heard rumors about a potential broadcom acquisition of the company? I've heard a couple mentions of this from colleagues but hard to pin down a source.

Has anyone heard anything?

KFC would be a good buyer.

Must admit that that would be fun to watch.

Another person talking garbage. Broadcom doesn't have the market cap or funding to acquire Dell. They are busy ruining VMware for the next 5 years. To clarify, continue ruining VMware that was already ruining itself.

Who would want this disaster? I heard Ringling Brothers is looking at acquiring Dell.

International House of Pancakes is making a play as well. Also, Home Depot….

Who would even want us?

Oracle and Cisco are bloated and antiquated just like Dell. Amazon would make sense, they have a best of breed online presence, that would make sense from a 100% online strategy, they could slash the sales teams more than you can imagine. Turn sales into chatbots and keep 10% of us for more complicated sales. We usually fail with these big piviots becuase we are always too late and more of a "me too" startegy that's poorly executed.

I could see that happening, however it's a merger. Then MD would have a huge chunk of AVGO and DELL. Not to mention he's back involved with VMW. And of course SilverLake would have a piece too.

Please. Just accelerate the vesting of my LTIs and I’m happily out.

Broadcom would gut this company and lay off a ton of people.

Doubt Broadcom would want Dell. I think Oracle or Cisco make more sense, Microsoft to a lesser extent (all with spin of the client biz).

It's not possible. MSD owns a controlling share of the stock.
