With current corporate mgmt style, reorgs/cuts in big companies like Dell have been a mess. Sure seems like they do not really know what they are going for beyond immediate cost cuts, especially in the long run. I have seen over the past couple of years really competent and knowledgeable people let go along with average workers. In my book, that is the first sign of incompetent mgmt and complete lack of care for the future of the company.

Add that to the d-mbest thing said today. In my org heritage EMC was decimated. Plus it's been 7 years since the merger. Why are people still looked at as heritage Dell or EMC. At this point, most of what's left of heritage EMC have worked for Dell longer than they did EMC.

Only heritage emc are being promoted and getting positions. The plan is to have a generalist and ai cover technical specs and requirements. Goodbye middle class and upper middle class, we will have low income and high income wealthy. Its pathetic all these companies are going to tear down the economy for greed.
They don't care in the slightest. We're just slaves to them. Can be swapped out with anybody else.
