“ Alienvault purchase was a colossal mistake ….lousy technology that didn’t scale”

Actually, AV was a well respected player in the cybersecurity space UNTIL T bought them. It tainted the AV brand and customers actually voiced concerns to AV reps directly. T drove the credibility, revenue and employees into the ground. This is what is in store for the cyber folks leaving.

"Makes you wonder who was behind that purchase"? Dear sir or maam, it was none other than the right hand man to randy, the navigator of the massively overpaid crazy bus, the strategic leader of ma bell at that time, and today. Drum roll please..... let me intro you to Mr. John s. Mr. Midas in his own mind, denying all personal accountability at every single turn. Thank you, board of directors. Not.

Alienvault purchase was a colossal mistake ….lousy technology that didn’t scale… makes you wonder who was behind that purchase….bought for close to 500 M and never generated revenues… horrible job on the due diligence

They will be on an island immediately after close. Competitors will giggle as they push the article about T abandoning the division Ti clients. It will make it nearly impossible to be successful. Very sad for the employees.

Hey cso lover. The fact that you didn't even know at&t had a cybersecurity management group shows just how bad of a job at&t did with it after they bought alienvault and are now hustling fast to dump it. Another at&t anti-midas touch example, of many. At least this one was under $1 billion loss to toss away.

Nothing to do with CSO. This is the commercial cybersecurity (hobby) group carved out of business. It will close , the they will close……

This is the consumer security business we bought a few years ago, formerly known as AlienVault. Not to be confused with CSO.

WTF are you on about?

I know MANY people who work in CSO, none of them are talking about being sold off.

A majority of affected T employees should use this time to learn cybersecurity skills.

You seem to be implying some there may jump ship now or very soon later? Could you let me know their names? Thanks, John S.
