Thread regarding Dell Inc. layoffs

Be Cruel and Win

We are being treated badly by these companies; who is to blame? Us. We give them permission by how we vote. We are so conditioned to be wary of government tyranny and vote against every regulation that we end up accepting and promoting corporate tyranny.

Take a look at our European colleagues; they are unable to be forced to retire without receiving sizable severance pay. Why can't they be laid off? due to laws and regulations. The majority of voters in this country would vote against those regulations.

The poor and middle class are voting against their own financial interests: no unions, no healthcare, no pension, no real vacation. All of this is because they are listening to some corrupt talking heads who are brainwashing us to be enslaved by these corporations.

You people think corporations exist to provide jobs? Hint: They don't.

Exactly...all posts that were in +20 and higher were zeroed out. This site is probably owned by or sell its data directly back to these companies.

Isn't it odd how the posts taking about workers rights have suddenly gained an equal number of downvotes after over a day of them having overwhelmingly more up votes?

And how each of them as of now, as of 9 pm EST ON 2/2/24 has EXACTLY the number needed to balance them to a net 0?

Almost like some bootlicker came in here to mess with them. Curious.

Europe may not have our GDP or “innovation” but I’ll take access to healthcare and 3 month summer vacations over the mess we have here any day. A person’s entire life and health should not depend on fickle corporations like it does here.

Nah. You got it all wrong. It isn't the two parties holding us down. It isn't the government or corporations. It is the groups you don't see really keeping us down that runs everything. It is the reverse vampires. They are aliens from outer space. What is even nuttier is you can't even see them because they come in every color, race, and creed. AND the biggest thing. They can walk around in daylight and they don't su-k blood. Because they are reverse vampires. Be diligent and keep a lookout.

Simple. 52, with cancer. If laid off, no insurance, eventually will lose the house. If I were European, I could still lose my job, but severance, social/dignity safety net and healthcare coverage would continue. We're doing something wrong. Can't be this rich of a country and can't afford to side with individuals against corporates.

Also these ridiculous CEO salaries need to stop, look at how much CEOs make in Europe.

It's a wrap for the American voter. It's devolved into cultish binary slave worship of political parties.

The Christian right believes s-xual morality should be led by a thrice divorced serial cheater who blew up his family multiple times cheating with sx workers.

The left nonlonger accepts basic biology and cannot define male and female.

The right preaches free market while backing billions in corporate bailouts (welfare for the rich).

The left gentrifies black neighborhoods and once all the black people are booted from their homes they fly BLM flags in those same neighborhoods.

Political parties are a cancer. Both sides. We need a viable 3rd party.

Corporations can’t pass laws. Also, corporations can buy politicians and fund their political campaigns. Also, Europe with all its pro-employee regulations isn’t the most innovative either or growing at the same GDP rate as US. Regardless, both sides of the pond perpetuate income inequality— US more so, due to continued corporate tax cuts and rebates.

Say it louder for the people in the back: billionaires are not your friend and will never be your friend, so stop voting for people who only look out for the 1%
