When you mean in same role promotional still there. Like changing i levels in same job because even though same role your taking more of a lead or initiative? I was remote 7 years before Covid not by choice when an office closed. Closest office is 9 hours away. Offices in my state all closed.
My manager told us Friday that if you stay remote you won't be elligable for promos anymore. You can only get a in role promo which almost never happens cause dell is CHEAP. If you pick remote, you can switch back to hybrid at any time but once you go hybrid you can NEVER go back remote. I moved away BECAUSE my manager said we'd never require mandatory in office work again. Michael Dell wrote an article saying the same. I only have 1 car now BECAUSE of what my leaders told me. I am NOT buying another car just so they can see me working. I'll work remote and stop ALL my advocate positions and stop any leadership activities since they have decided to be lie to me and then change their minds trying to force me to spend 2-3 hours a day commuting to their cr-ppy office with cr-ppy and expensive food. I will not participate in the meeting and just do my job. I'm not helping train the replacement new hires from universities that replaced people they laid off. Dell is so toxic now.
