Thread regarding Giant Eagle layoffs

HR is a mess!

While it's great that the new CEO is someone who has worked for the company his entire life, why won't he change the toxic leadership in HR?
And he knows how bad they are because multiple people have gone to him to tell him.
I realize that the previous CPO was terrible, just ineffective but she wasn't a narcissistic bully like those 2 others in HR are who used to sell fur coats at a high end company.

I'll never get it.

Everyone has to realize that Giant Eagle execs don't care that J and C are creating a toxic environment. Because that's what they were brought here to do.

LK hired RG who brought in J and C to create the GEB in India, build out and staff the GEB, "modernize" HR, turn on automations, and ultimately layoff the American corporate team members.

Effectively, J and C are doing their jobs. Don't forget - if toxic environments push out American team members, then Giant Eagle doesn't have to pay severances. Thus, more cost savings for the company.

You can't take the "buyout" hits all in the same fiscal year for all these execs. Look at how many VP's are being let go, and there are more to come. CIO and CFO are all hitting FY24. If i had to guess, you're going to see her gone in FY25.
