So if you choose remote - how long before you are WFR?

I don't see anywhere in the email or policy that remote workers will not get severance if part of WFR. Where is that coming from

"he said that he has no reason to believe that remote workers have a higher chance for WFR than hybrid"

Check the FAQ from HR. Hybrid workers will have preference when it comes to organizational restructures

How much managers ACTUALLY know, who knows... But during our team meeting this RTO was the major topic of discussion - duh - and he said that he has no reason to believe that remote workers have a higher chance for WFR than hybrid. Though logically speaking, since Dell wants everyone in office 3 days/week, the remote people may be higher up on that list.

Managers were hung out to dry with this one. They received a pre-wire and that's it. If you have a high performer that wishes to remain remote then you will lose them. That's the message.

Jeff wants a flock of sheep he can herd from pillar to post.

my manager has no clue when asked questions. It doesn't seem like managers were prepared that well. Same many unanswered questions.

If you work in a group that is being shut down then you are gone, irrespective of if you are in the office or not

Why not select remote, if things are going bad in your org then change to hybrid and apply for a new job internally

According to my manager, he doesn't think WFR would affect remote workers any more than hybrid. Though, who knows at the end of the day...

In 12-18 months? There will probably be another global disaster by then and everyone back to remote. 🙄
