I heard from a previous teammate that remote employees will be laid off next quarter. Not sure how many people will get laid off but it’s coming. It’s bs that remote workers can’t get a promotion going forward. Dell just wants remote employees to quit so they don’t have to pay a severance.

Here is the kool aid, drink up, its poison and you have no choice.
I'll take "someone that hasn't read the actual policy" for $1000, Alex!
Look, the policy su-ks, but this kind of rumor isn't helpful. Read the policy or pipe down.
oh well ... most are field people, which are not impacted by the RTO mandate... please read the policy before complaining. I know its hard and its bs in this life.. on top of that, most EU countries are in phase2, as they know there is a legal issue with tying location of work with chances on promotion, this is called discrimination in eu law
can I be remote but identify as hybrid.
Confirmation that remote individual contributors will not be considered for promotions beyond i-9, and not at all for a shift to another role. Remote employees will be considered for layoffs, but that doesn't mean they will be the first ones targeted. Still bs.
Fake news - too many people too fast. Try again.
I heard from my sisters cousins roomates grandmothers uncles dad that OP is full of s**t
You can get promotion but the new role you move to will not allow remote so you change to hybrid at that time.
is your previous teammate JC? It's just scare tactics to get everyone to choose hybrid or quit.
This is 100% not true.
well that's just a load of bs lol.
