Thread regarding Dell Inc. layoffs

Dell shareholders should be worried

Clearly Dell isn’t spending your money wisely.

Laying off the workforce but keeping SVPs? We’ve got SVPs reporting to SVPs now. That makes zero sense.

Return to office, which isn’t really the savviest or smartest thing to do in the midst of layoffs or how to manage your facilities. BTW, the talent that builds most of the revenue that you want to watch grow are either being let go or will/are leaving.

Looking ambiguously at consolidation of how entirely different business units work. This makes no sense and is a total waste of company funds and man-power.

We should be focusing our man power on improving our existing products quality, removing duplicate layers of management, driving into newer markets (which I thought was part of the plan) and improving revenue.

We shouldn’t be blowing cash on consultants who give us terrible advice. If we are going to listen to consultants, why have an executive staff?

Shouldn’t the c-suite be leading the company, not a consulting firm?!

Pretty much, stripping down the functioning assets. Punching any and every penny from employees, selling off major assets like VMWare. Trying to force attrition with draconian RTO policies with no infrastructure to support it. Morale at an all time low company wide. And they just don’t care.

If Michael Dell steps down and passes the reigns to JC the picture becomes more clear that the cycle of pump and dump on the stock price has begun and a major bankruptcy is coming. The tale as old as time of CEO leadership being handed down over and over until it’s the last su---r holding the bag. A bleak future feels more apparent as the quarters roll by.
