We have become a company of temps, mentally that is. Nobody knows when the assignment will end, what the future holds, is willing to invest in long term solutions or go the extra mile at work. Why should they? From rah rah culture to an apathetic one. Great job upper management clowns. This should be subject of an HBS case study in mismanagement and cultural erosion.

“There is not where is at.”
This all started with Skip offering everyone to be a FTE and Rat onboarding soo many more. The firm used to be a lot better 6-7 years back
Everything is TEMPORARY, even our existence in this sh-t hole called life..... A job is a job. If you work for someone else, you must "obey", be used and abused and be disposed whenever your number comes up. If you start your own gig, you are at the mercy of your customer's needs. So, stop whining, stop buying, stop borrowing, enjoy the day and hope for the best. Work to live not live to work! When you retire, you find out the real meaning of life if you are healthy enough to enjoy it, you will start realizing that you wasted your life "working" because that is what you were programmed to do. There is no freedom there no matter how you try to rationalize and normalize it. Break the programming and you will start to enjoy freedom. Live with the necessary, not the junk you work for, busy your mind and try to impress the Jones with. They don't give a cr-p about you. There is not where is at. It is all within, in your mind....
@jjl+1qZNBQ43 Hey everybody, it’s JD!
in the land of the white badges, the one black badge is king
you realize Nike saves so much money on tax and unemployment insurance with temp workers, and the moment they cut the cord on them they're sc--wed because 1099's don't qualify for unemployment.
Really criminal way to take advantage of people.
@xun+1qZNBQ43 Having fun going from thread to thread posting your garbage comments? You must be fun at parties.
Sad sack.
It's past your bedtime.
So glad all you bitter stagnant folks will be gone. Hopefully the new temp workers will make better product and create better energy for what was once a great brand. Y’all need to go. No one wants your terrible running shoes, overpriced, out of style tech joggers, or your Walmart looking basketball shoes.
I’m just waiting on my severance package. I’ve heard it’s like 6 mon salary. So once I get that I’ll head to Bali to play on the beach
If we could get rid of all the ingrained H1Bs the RAT brought in we would be so much better
Nike pays more $ to consulting firms, compared to any other investments like technology, innovation, supply chain, sustainability or DEI.
Probably executive compensation comes before cost of consulting firms. We got all top 4-5 firms making money by providing same PowerPoints every few months.
I would read all the replies here but I'm too busy working on my 5 year strategic roadmap. Using crayons, Elmer's, and plastic scissors.
Numerous temps are necessary to support a culture where instant gratification reigns, and their numbers are directly proportional to either rapid growth or poor planning. You can decide which is in play here.
Soon there will be more consultants from McKinsey than actual employees
Nike has become every other corporation.
