Any news of any layoffs in northern California/ Nevada? My job getting very slow, service coordinator in construction. I know they laid off some admin people last year here and Nevada.
I think another round of layoffs are coming with Charter Communications. Work has been really slow in my department. Very unusual for this time of the year. Normally work slows down in December around the holidays, not in October.
A number of Charter employees have also been laid off in Greenwood Village, CO. Unlike other layoffs, these people were not given any advanced notice and were just escorted out the door like common criminals. They did not provide any opportunity to look for another job within the company, while this still had access. On my old team, everyone that was laid off was over 60! The company claims that the layoffs were by title (versus age).
Letting more people go in Greer, SC.
Yup it is happening. ROCs Design RSC are being condensed into 3 centers. FL, TX west NY. Customer Care in Ontario Ca, gone to I don't know where. I will take the Package and look for something outside of cable. 20 years and the curtain is closing.
They are still hiring for sales in NYC. I guess because we’re very busy. That may change by the fall. We run parallel with real estate in NYC.
Leadership announced today that they’re going to be pushing return to office.
They likely want people to leave to reduce headcount of the next round of layoffs.
FDL, WI has at least 150 people affected by the continued layoffs. Counting what I've seeing reported nationwide, Spectrum has over 1,800 layoffs so far for 2024
Columbus, Oh just laid off 175 folks.
Louisville FO here, just wrapped up a restructuring after laying off a whole bunch of supervisors to Sr director level. People had to interview for their jobs. Getting word from other MSOs that Charter is planning this again before the years end, right before they have to hand out early bonuses. They are hemorrhaging employees in field Ops because Magellan Automation is close to finishing. Once that's done, it'll save them face if majority of designers have been shaken out instead of doing proper layoffs.
There were a number of layoffs in the Greenwood Village office today. Employees received no advanced warnings. Half of my team got axed and another person described it as a 'bloodbath'.
Contractors received notice 2 weeks ago that we are being furloughed 15 business days in 2024. This is US wide, or so I was told. And it's a cost saving step.
Rsc louisville ky is getting laid off we were informed last Week
Any layoff in RSC or FO? Company wide from front line employee to VP.
Is there a layoff going on now?
West Region also was hit
I worked 15 years at Charter and was laid off. I got 26 weeks of severence.
Being laid off was the best thing for me, I found à better company, better job, and career growth.
Charter has a pattern of overlooking great internal talent, even when your hard work makes your area successful.
I was packaged out and told I can’t work for any competitor. That’s 43 states I can’t work in. This should be illegal.
Any lay offs in RSC’s or FO? Wondering what the big “business announcement” is tomorrow.
18 years tenure and was laid off with 6 month severance package.
why ? CEO saying '' we are doing good '' ( I just get $87M bonus )
50 folks gone..by next month
Hopefully everyone in Englewood and Greenwood Village are let go, completely useless and inefficient management
Curious as to what regions or MA's are laying off. Thinking as bad as Charters numbers are there's going to be many more to come. Should probably include techs as well.
Laid off after 21 years. Senior manager level.
30% of my dev team impacted.
Fair-sized number of layoffs have happened this week in the Product & Technology group, mainly targeting higher-level folks (Director/Principal) and focused in the Denver/Greenwood Village offices, the primary location for this business unit.
Does charter offer severance package ? In-case they do, nay idea how many months ?
There are huge reorganizations coming across dev teams, including team reductions
I just got the axe after 7 years.
