You are probably correct that there will be layoffs. With all the VTO they are offering it's obvious they have over hired anyway. What they should do is get rid of all the extras they offer. All those pass it on points need to go. It is unfairly distributed anyway. Get rid of the $400.00 for each employee for athletic wear, messages... Cut managements bonuses and sending people on trips because they are simply doing what they get paid to do. Bread is too generous at times. They still need employees to answer phones. Hopefully they will focus on the right ways to cut back and not target the CSR's. Cut some Managers that really don't do much anyway. They have a Manager for every department imaginable. Just pay me a fair wage. McDonalds employees are making a little less than we are.
During the Q4 investor call RA acknowledged that the CFPB decision happening at the end of this year would impact business by 25%. The CFPB decision is to regulate late fees in banks. So instead of Bread Financial making $35 on a late fee, they can legally only make $8 for example. Late fees are a huge part of Bread's business.
