Thread regarding Crown Castle International Corp. layoffs

Bringing back laid off

Tower teammates. I know of 5 they’ve already asked to come back with prorated severance paybacks. We are all trying to get out of the sinking ship. Who in their right minds would want to come back. You got the severance! Consider yourselves the lucky ones and move on.

@2xti+1qkfZBEq I'd go back... if they gave me JB's salary and let me work from home.

Just curious did they axe the “Crown Castle Extended Service Separation Program”…I fall into that group with age and tenure and wondering if it is still on the table if I need to pull that card.

I cannot imagine anyone going back to such an unstable and toxic enviornment after being pushed out. That would be so sad. There are so many other opportunities out there.

Curious when the new Elliot “changes” will get into effect. Betting on a layoff the second week in January

What teams are being brought back. Curious to see what we can read into business decisions.

Yes, they can ask for the severance back for the amount they paid you at the time of rehire to the end of the severance period. It’s part of the severance deal to not pay you twice. But verify this with HR if rehired. As said below, be sure to get a pay increase/raise in the process. Beware that another layoff could happen again as Elliott and the new board goes deeper into Crown’s financial records. Finally, you will have a scarlet letter of one being let go that will follow you for a while inside Crown with your manager and peers and in your HR file. Good luck in making the right decision for you.

They cannot ask for severance back, I call BS on that.

Millie’s apartment was perfect! It had everything we needed for our short trip, but would be completely suitable a longer stay. The amenities were great, the bedding was cozy, and the cleanliness made us extremely comfortable. Our daughters were especially excited about the snacks and the hair ties saved me a trip to store. The entire experience was so much nicer than staying at any local hotel. Thank you so much Amy! We will be back.

Be sure to get a raise/more pay in the process. You are not someone coming in that needs to be trained. If not, you will not get a raise during the next review process. Get what you can now. Crown is the one that screwed up. Make them pay for the hardship they caused you during this debacle.

This doesn’t surprise me at all. Crown has incompetent leaders who had no clue how to staff properly. Lo and behold, we now discover that we let too many people go. I would wait out the severance period to take advantage of a nice long break before agreeing to go back to that clown show.

I would consider that, but they would have to let me keep the severance.

Sounds like leadership has totally lost their way. Sounds like they can’t manage their staffing model. Making bad decisions.
