How are we expected to maintain a positive work environment with layoffs constantly hanging over our heads? Honestly, my productivity is a joke currently and it's not because I'm intentionally slacking off. I just can't concentrate properly on anything. I know others have said this before, but I have to reiterate how counterproductive this whole process has turned out to be.

One thing I have noticed is even when I go above and beyond, my rating is still the same and my bonus doesn't change much. So why go the mile?

Do the bare minimum until your time here is up. Since we're not being laid off based on merit, do yourself a favor and do the bare minimum until your time here is up. I think it's safe to say that the majority of us realize that Citi is not the best place to build your career, so there's no need to do anything but the minimum until you are laid off or leave on your own. Don't do the management any favors is my motto.

It’s extremely annoying, but one has to hope it will improve in a few weeks when the bulk of layoffs get announced. Until then, the place feels completely paralyzed; no one wants to do anything.
They want employees to be walking on pins and needles. They took away all the projects but keep asking employees what are they working on. The place is a joke. Execs simply don’t care. Maybe they know that many will get fired soon.
Do the best you can. Log on at 9. Log off at 5. Take every break you are entitled to. Attend meetings and don’t multi task. Take your time and don’t rush. This will pass. It always does. If you get made redundant have faith in your skills and qualifications. You will get another job in a company that is better managed.
