Thread regarding Truist Bank layoffs

Ridiculous place to work

This place is becoming one of the most ridiculous places to work. “Inspire and build better lives and communities”- since when? This place is about being nice and bending over backwards for our “premier” clients, and treating actual people who need financial help/guidance out the door.

You can bust your butt meeting every goal they hand out, but if you aren’t hitting your required “CCGs” for the week, it doesn’t matter. And now if you are sick, or on vacation, you are still responsible for CCG numbers for those days?

Talk about transparency, in training, my AL, my manager, everyone says “there is no minimum credit score for consumer loans, they create a risk grade based on fico and a custom score that is the risk” however, that isn’t true at all, there is a HARD fico minimum of 720?

Remember when risk grade 1-4 was 0%/1.25%/3%/6.25% respective increases? Remember when they removed RG 4 in order to “better service our clients and help mitigate rising rate increases? Yeah, big time lie, we have moved our requirements to hurt clients and even more.

We are told to just “do our job” but no one is clear about what our job is? Is it to do what’s best for our clients, or to lie and manipulate them in order to get them into a different account or worse loan than they could get walking down the road to a bank or credit union within a mile radius?

This place is a joke.

The people who run this place are liars, manipulative, horrifying people. They use key “leadership” words that are a dime a dozen spewed at those sh---y conventions every year. They don’t even know what these words actually mean.

Top that off with expectations of management- the very people who don’t know how to run any basic day to day operations, sit there and berate their employees on “how to do it better”

Also, ET and CC are horrible, cheap operating systems. They could have very easily bought and installed a new system (Mambu, Finacle, or oracle for instance) but instead try to keep pushing two sh---y systems together?

Finally, what kind of AL just copies and pastes the same email every week “get your ccgs done they are so important. Let’s work on our 3 p’s, let’s focus on the 3 D’s of banking” verbatim ad nauseam.

I’ve found I can literally sit at my desk and do absolutely nothing all day, fake my way through ccgs for a week, and nothing gets said to me except “great job on getting so many ccgs done”.

I also found if I work my butt off, open multiple accounts, bring in and solidify the relationship of different high dollar clients, close well over my goal for irm referrals, credit cards, loans, etc, and miss my ccg count by 2, and I will have a meeting where my “purpose” is questioned, my desire to be a part of the team, etc.

OP is 100% accurate. Just pathetic how the true sludge in our company come out from under their rock to bash someone over the head like the demons they are. And I’ll wager $5 that they were all with ST.

We had a great commercial bank associate RIF’d yesterday. She had loads of experience and customers loved her. Her dolt manager escorted her out. We have already lost commercial clients in our area due to the FU that is Truist. Now there is no one out on the floor as customers come up. Today we had the first to come up since my co-worker was let go. He came in and said “is there no one up here to help me?!” Clearly irritated that he came up and there was literal no one on the floor to help him.

CCGs are the bank’s way of gathering our clients personal data like children’s birthdays and whether you have had a messy divorce and putting it into our database to share with our 25,000 employees.

Thanks for the dissertation and whine box cry fest Teammate. It was a great use of time. Put on your Purple coat and get to work! The violinists are tired of playing for you.
