Polaris is an upgrade of our SAP system so that we can reduce our "Planning Advisors" by 50% over the next several years.
Most Planning Advisors spend 80% of their time extracting information from our global SAP systems that do not talk to each other.
As one senior finance executive pondered to the executive committee, "We spend $1+ billion a year on a global SAP system. Why do our V.P.'s need to operate their global business units on 1000+ Excel spreadsheets?
Maybe they'll stop doing business on excel forms.
Essentially it’s the upgrade of the existing SAP systems, massive IT project despite the desire of management to not use the IT label..
Polaris is the name of the ballistic missiles on-board the US nuclear submarines.
I'm afraid once it's launched the EM project will have the same kind of effects.

its the next ERP and all the work related to it. if you don't know what that means... as Obvious said... goto/polaris.
