Thread regarding Southwestern Energy Co. layoffs

Corporate roles?

So will the corporate roles that have hung on for so long finally see the lights go out? No need for duplicate HR, IT, etc.; though expect some holdover will occur for continuity.

Why do you think the stockholders got screwed? In essence, your SWN stock now converts to CHK (or whatever new ticker will be). And if you were long SWN, you should love the new entity ... because its exactly the same freaking assets, but ideally (if managed right) lower OPEX and higher EBITDA.

Sounds like the deals teams (Marketing and BD) will be located in Houston along with those over Ohio/WV assets.

CHK will offer a handful of people to move to OKC, but unlikely to be many.

Everyone is on the block just some before others. Hopefully you are one of the folks that gets the first package.

Don’t move if offered a job unless they give you moving funds to return when laid off after a year.

Rent a place in Ok city don’t buy

Mostly yes - Everything that is duplicated will be eliminated. That's where the majority of the $400 million in savings comes from.

Field guys will be the safest from this, but everyone else is at risk (sorry!)
