Chesapeake Energy employees have been informed that the entire OKC workforce will be consolidated into what is known as Building 15 on their massive campus.
Chesapeake just merged with a Houston-area company and the common thought is that the total number of
OKC employees will stay in the 600-700 range. Some employees of the new yet-to-be-named organization will be based in Houston.
The move comes as the company kept shrinking and more recently, CHK employees had been consolidated in the Georgian 'brick campus' as outlined in the attached drone shot below.
It's unclear what will happen to the dozens of residual buildings, amenities, and vacant land. At its apex, CHK had around 5,000 employees on that campus and in some surrounding buildings.
