Rumors say we’ll be getting a JD email this week with details of the 2/19 layoffs.
I’m hoping they rip the bandaid off and send it tomorrow, but knowing Nike they will drag it out.
I don’t think they are clueless enough to send it on Valentine’s Day but you really never know with this batch of dum-dums.
Times have changed since the pandemic. It will be over Zoom this time so they will give a warning to WFH that day.
I don’t remember HR giving us any warning. We came in to white paper on the windows in the conference rooms. Then you got a HR appt., you were escorted out. Brutal.

In 2017 the layoffs went on for months, some orgs did them right away (think was April). Others at end of the summer. Assume it will take longer than it should
They had to announce layoffs before Christmas because of the earnings call. It can’t be changed.
Didn’t they announce layoffs the week right before Xmas? If anything, Xmas is a more regarded holiday. If they didn’t care about Xmas, they definitely won’t care about Valentine’s Day.
It’s not about caring about Valentines Day or not. Everyone knows you don’t announce bad news on a holiday.
