LR packages will continue to shrink, that's is now given. They will manage payroll in the same fashion (one to two cut rounds per year) - the patters are repetitious. And yet, they always manage to throw in a curve ball or two.

The numbers people have posted here in the past year or two seem consistent with what Cisco was offering ten years ago. Please document the levels by year showing this decline you claim.
Commenter is correct. So it's not a "given". I wish there weren't 50 nonsense posts here for every food one.
The idea around the generous payoff is that you accept it and just leave quietly with a generous sum of money rather than go legal, potentially winning, against what could be deemed discriminatory Cisco LR tactics bringing Cisco into disrepute. If Cisco shrink the packages too much it will encourage people not to sign the disclaimer and go legal.
