I have a 1:1 with my manager right after the earnings call 2/14 1.30 pm. Do I need to be worried???????

"Some managers schedule 1:1 to let u know that you're safe"

That's pretty lousy management. No news implies you're safe. Nothing else to add. Having a 1:1 invites rumors and speculation and risks disclosing confidential information.

It is a regular setup but with this one particularly bumped right after the earnings call 😳

Real question is if this is one-off or regularly scheduled. Most managers have a weekly on going 1:1 with employees. If this is the case, nothing to worry.

Many managers are in-efficient and don’t have regular 1:1. If this is your case you know from previous such meetings and his reasons to call these…

Any manager who sets up a 1:1 right after earnings to say someone is safe is an id--t. No news is good news on this. All it does is create fear.

I got my meeting the same day as did others I knew. But different managers may handle it in different ways.
