Hold on, and if you end up being laid off, think about the fact that you are leaving a sh---y company with no future. There are other places out there where you can actually grow, learn something new, and be paid for it. Sc--w this place.

The fact that new monkeys come here every layoff cycle screaming "this, being Cisco's first layoff ever, will harm moral and everyone shall quit in unity!" means those of us who have successfully moved on need to help people know that there is hope, and that hope is far more likely to become reality if people take responsibility for their career.

Same for me. Being LR’d from Cisco after 23 years opened up a lot of opportunities I wasn’t previously considering. Landed at an amazing company.
