How does Cisco attract talent? They lured me away from a top company with RSUs then laid me off before they vested. Worst mistake of my life. By the time I was laid off, it was a celebration.

There are other companies where pay is good, good coworkers and good benefits without constant fear of one layoff after another, even in this economy. It’s not worth it to stay in a nerve-wrecking company.

I worked at Cisco EN and Cisco Meraki
Both great orgs targets are hard
Meraki guys can often get a bad rep but their culture is really fun and rewarding
I would. I worked there for years before I was laid off. You can slack off and get paid a nice severance when they eventually let you go. The pay isn’t the greatest but I’d do it again if I wanted to slack off for a few years.
