@1ezm+1r5MbmFP HCL is a third part company that contract on our work.. like wipro or Teleperformance for example. currently HCL handles a few of the low hanging fruits, but they also handle some of the EE and Dev stuff for some products. they su-k at it by the way but they do get payed to do that type of work.
@zww+1r5MbmFP - What's HCL?
Well let's hope I'm first on the list to be replaced by AI
From Dell himself.
“it's a wonderful thing for all of us to reimagine how our organisation and world will work as the cost of cognitive power goes to zero.”
In his decision mantra anything that can be replaced by an AI program will be priority and the marching beat he pushes down through the ranks.
Look at the as as service edict that was driven into everything over the past years.
Now it is AI. If he believes it will replace
any cost that is currently being scrutinized it will be.
Only thing they are doing now is cutting anything and everything that can be cut.
No unscheduled 1-1 in my calendar, guess I'll make it another day.
It's a shame that's how things are.
And Services VPs who don’t typically post to LinkedIn have started. You know you’re fearful of your job when you start over-posting all the stupid AI posts
@1wny+1r5MbmFP Bro what team are you on they sound wild
Some comment here said they’d cut off their own di-ks if it made a buck for shareholders. I have never seen such myopic thinking. We’re not going to compete with OpenAI and Microsoft is an abusive boyfriend. We’ve got to have something to sell before we cut everyone that made, marketed and sold the old thing.
I'm in his org, crickets so far but we have a townhall with Bill C. tomorrow.
Of course main objective is to cut anything that is determined by VP and SVP to be the quickest way to boost their divisions bottom line.
Expect more product to be be sent to HCL.
