Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Workday guinepig

I am not happy with AT&T choosing workday for HR matters. Employee data is not longer kept inhouse. All data is considered volentarily & is shared. https://www.workday.com/en-us/privacy.html. Employees were not offered a opt out. I would like to know what Data AT&T employees are volenteering to share. I do not appreciate AT&T making decisions for me.

Where do I want to begin?

Workday, from what I have seen so far, is bad beta software. Some of my colleagues have been overpaid by the system; others have been underpaid. I decided after seeing the horror stories to go through the deductions and withholding line by line to make sure they match up to what I am expecting/ I also scrutinize what I see on my records in Infor as well, to (1) make sure the information in Infor is correct, and (2) the hours for show up in Workday match what is in Infor. Then, I check to make sure the deductions are correct, and the tax withholding is correct, because I don't trust these new systems.

Brush up on your Excel knowledge, folks, you will need it.

All data is considered voluntarily & is shared.

Alight (our benefits provider) has been sharing our personal data with random companies for years. Check out "benefits summary" for a list of about a dozen or so 3rd parties that have our names, home addresses, social security numbers, etc.

To list a few:

Lyra Health
Grandrounds
meQ
sleepcharge
Weightwatchers
Maven Clinic
HingeHealth
Bright Horizons
Livongo

Mind you, these are NOT companies you elect to have coverage from. These are completely unrelated 3rd parties with which Alight shares your SPII/PII, all without your permission or approval.

Some of them, like Lyra Health, even have the nerve to mail unsolicited junk directly to your home.

If you've ever wondered how Alight subsidizes your plans, well now you know. Alight pr-------es and sells you like a product. It has been this way ever since we offloaded benefits to this piece of sh-t.

AT&T's policies on sharing employee PII are a joke.

From their privacy policy: "If you use a Workday event-related mobile application, we may also collect additional information from your device, such as your photos, contacts, or geolocation data, in accordance with your device’s privacy settings. " I'll leave my COU in the office when I leave!
