Thread regarding U.S. Bank layoffs

New VPN

The new VPN will be tracking your location. It will capture your “home IP” and if it detects you are off it you will need to get the new IP approved. To the remote folk with no “hub” at ELAVON/USB… the end is near!

It was a fun ride. Exec leadership even admitted to a riff coming soon to “purge the sickness from the business”

It’s not if but when… so when?

That's not how it works. That's not how any of this works, Beatrice!

The current VPN is trash already. I wouldn't put it past US Bank leadership to implement something this harebrained to make it worse. U.S. Bank leadership also trash.

I agree. This person doesn’t understand networking much but that’s okay! No one understands anything around here. However to his credit… Dummer things are being done on an hourly basis around here!

This post was clearly made by someone who doesn't know how networking works. There are many reasons why IPs would change and employing a team to deal with the problems it would create is not likely on the roadmap.... although I've been wrong before.
