Thread regarding Ford layoffs

What happened to the RTW revolt?

I drove through the R&E center recently and the park lots were full, lots of people walking around during lunch.

Wonder how many of the big talkers actually quit in protest.

They aren't going to complain. And they aren't going to quiet quit.

They are most comfortable on forums like this.

It is well known that weak or lonely men tend to spend a lot of time on anonymous forums touting their anger and hate speech.

And they'll blame everybody else for this. Just take a look at the incel community for example. Or the white rights community. It is a huge echo chamber and becoming dangerous.

Your manager working from home means he/she is just as lazy and non core business as you are. When they are gone, so will you be.

What happened to the up/down vote arrow?

Sometimes I have to shut down the browser and re-open it to get the voting arrows back.

Why revolt? Most everyone I know still has the discretion to go in only as necessary. If you worked at Ford you'd know the intent is collaboration and not merely a bed check. Now get back to work making the fries and stop worrying about what Ford employees or anyone else for that matter is doing.

No need to RTW if you can work 100% independently and your manager supports you

Appreciate for getting my point. (not always easy, and obviously many don't)

From a distance, it appears to me, in many places, degrees merely acts as a supercharger to Stakhanovite movement, it enhances the exploration rather than earning the mutual respect (between employer and employee), something truly sad and unfortunate, and I consider this as a disgrace to knowledge, the most powerful thing of human civilization, dating back from the Roman days.

And of course, such environments need a lot of spectators to happen. They either do nothing, or side with the tyranny.

And this is why I value character even more: without character, knowledge can easily be unwisely used.

Thank you for saying it!

I am a PhD and there are many other PhDs and Master's degree emplpyees here at Ford and we are seriously UNDERVALUED!!

It's these low life blue collar stiffs and white collar clock watchers that are bringing Ford Motor Company down!

Everybody needs to pull their own weight!

So in the end, I want to say, be nice to people. Hate will bring the worst side of humanity and you never know what kind of monster you might have awaken.

I am extremely nice to people (usually) not because of me being nice inherently, it is more because of the fear to the other extreme end. I know how horrible it can look like even miles away and the chill it gives you is unbearable. And no matter how seemingly weak or small the person appears to be, all of that can be deceptive, so treat everyone with respect and dignity.

Oh, no I am the opposite of edgelord. I study psychology, specializing on evil in humanity, and it is an extremely powerful weap0n.

What I said is merely a spillover of what I know. And career in automotive field is getting boring to me, I enjoy changing the outcome of the world (I did twice already), my daily job is increasingly become nothing more of a decoy. What I mentioned previously was more like mischief.

And certainly, without such knowledge, you cannot connect the dots into a shape making sense, so you wouldn't believe it. But once you have such knowledge, I would be afraid of you because it means you will be untouchable too. It is a Pandora's box, once you learned it, you are maimed for life(I really don't understand why I was taught this in the elementary school) You will become your own enemy and you will be haunted by your own nightmares, because whatever disguising things happening in this company or other companies seem to be like child's play. It is the price of those weap0ns

I don't believe a word you say.

You toe the line just like everybody else.

I hope you get something out of being an edgelord on anonymous internet forums. Because I doubt you get anything out of your career.

"None of them quit. They need their paychecks.

And none of them are quiet quitting or slacking or underperforming... Because they need their paychecks.

This site is a cesspool of angry workers - some laid off by Ford and some still employed by Ford. The ones laid off tend to talk to most trash and encourage the most revolt. But the ones who still work for Ford aren't going to actually do anything to jeopardize their jobs.

Nothing is actually going to change. I just sit back and relax and enjoy the ranting."

I pay back hate with hate, I unleash terr0r on management, so none of them even dares to speak to me, and I fully enjoy this process. I don't need the paycheck that much, I enjoy on their mental suffering. I work to see their suffering and see the fun of drama. It is more satisfying than achieving anything at work.

Underperforming, of course not. I am good enough to treat work as a hobby and I have more than enough ability to cover all. I decide how the outcome will be, and I make it as unpredictable as possible. And my job is not jeopardized because I carefully study the laws, to make sure I am fully protected from many directions.

I sit back and enjoy the fireworks!

Often it takes time to find a new position. People may be coming in but that doesn’t mean they aren’t looking.

Quit is not a protest. Sabotaging, attrition warfare and endless legal actions are.

You have to stay to cause more damages
