Thread regarding Fidelity Investments layoffs

Good morning

Wishing those laid off all the best. Hoping you all find opportunities that are less stressful and make you happy.

For those that are still there, hoping morale gets better and that you eventually get good leadership. Enjoy every day of WFH, put you and your family first . It’s just a job.

Nothing quite like “We want you all to be extremely mentally healthy as you fire your employees because we needed more cash to revamp our strategy” with a dash of “ we really don’t discriminate against those struggling with mental health issues” and a bit of “any sign of weakness will result in your termination” gotta love those executive mind games and a-s covering.

@1hgl+1rDzwpWE - That's bizarre... especially seeing how poorly this layoff was carried out and hasn't even been addressed by the company to employees.

Also laid off and just this week have received 1) an invitation to a ‘mental health discussion with leadership’ that is scheduled for AFTER the role elimination date and 2) a survey to take asking ‘how is your week going, we want to know!’

Seriously?

LOL

Reminds me a Fidelity Executive's Linked-in "Celebrate Our Associates Day" post on the very day of the layoff.
