Relocation year

Who else plans to use their relocation year to quiet quit and search for a new job?

Not a bad choice but I am ready to be let go and take the time to look for my next big adventure and take my 4 months' pay.

@zck+1rERmqdm tell me you have no idea about what is going on with relo's without telling me you have no idea.

If offered relo, and accepted, you have a calendar year to effect the change. It could be a better option to accept the relo, quiet quit for a year while job hunting instead of taking severance. Especially if you're a newer employee with a small severance package or riding out employment to a specific needed date. And I'm sure you could stretch it out an extra few months by getting a PO Box and not RTO'ing. Make them talk to you and pip you then fire you.

Who is saying you’ll have a relocation year? This is all about layoffs.

And if by chance you get offered relocation, you don’t get severance if you agree to relocate and don’t. So you might as well just start looking for a different job now.
