Don’t be scared. You should be fine for about a year. At least you have the upper hand because you know what’s going to happen. The Cisco culture is going to su-k every last bit out of you, give you stock options to help you want to stay, try to brainwash you this is a great place to work, and then lay you off so they don’t need to pay on the stock options. It’s all legal too! We are experts at it!!!! Unfortunately, it’s not illegal to try to convince people it is a great place to work and then lay them off. Redundant teams like Sales, IT, HR, and support will be the first to go. All directors and older employees are at high risk too. Cisco is about making money for the executive team and shareholders.
