Just received word that Ford is shipping its proving grounds way south. They started with local testing and now are ramping up. Getting approval to pour concrete for testing. Tentatively scheduled for 2026.

Didn't they just spend millions to upgrade the network?
Too much cost for too little return on testing a hand full of vehicles at a time. Pretty simple. Can’t pad the numbers to self justify.
Really? do you have more details?
That tells how important those tests are.
This has been in the works for 18 months.

🤣
Need to get rid of it now and cash in on the value of the land.
The area is perfect for mansions. That will drive up everybody's property values and property taxes and help the community and county.
Suburb not Subaru
Makes sense. 3880 acres now prime land since the northern Subaru expansion from Detroit continues to accelerate, we are sitting on a gold mine. Plus see having PG all over the place now so the MPG is redundant
Good to know a company can build a major PG from scratch and fully correlate it to existing facilities in only two years. Impressive timing!
Must need the milder climate to run those EVs.
They sold Florida and Arizona grounds years ago.
Looks like ford is leaving Romeo for good after the engine plant closing.
Well now that they need it for a parking lot for vehicles built with problems that make them unsellable it makes sense!
Where did the word come from? Your backside?
