Chance of Terminatuon before PIP

I have been given a NI rating. What are the chances of being terminated without severance before PIP for performance.?

Are you wfh or hybrid? If hybrid, better chance of staying
Are you in a core city or not? If core, better chance of staying
If WFH or non-core chance of lay-off high regardless of performance.

My advice is just approach your boss and say you will take the package. Then look for someplace else.

This has happened to two of my co-workers. Re-org into new role without skills needed. No training, just go!
of course got Formal and one let go in 30
days. Do not think it won’t happen to you.
I’ve seen people moved into engineering roles without that skill. Gone in month!
How can this be allowed? You don’t get severance bc it’s performance
shady

If displacements were done with any competency, you would be high on the list for upcoming waves.

But, there appears to be a trend that individual performance makes no difference in decision making. I have seen great performers shown the door if they happen to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.

I agree with the previous poster that this dysfunction works to your advantage. Just focus on the present, do the work in front of you, and the hope for the best.

A firm that has an asset cap and proven to be unable to manage it's businesses is not one that can hypocritically give anyone a low rating. Wells needs to disappear through a buyout or merger. Anything that can be done to encourage clients and advisors to leave should be done legally.

Go back 5 years and I’d say low chance. Once they decided they needed to right size the company and started realistic layoffs you’re probably somewhere in the 50/50 range. It really will depend on your lob, team situation and whether or not the requirement to lower headcount and by how much hits your team
