Thread regarding U.S. Bank layoffs

Development Plans

What’s up with the push to create these development plans in Workday? All the bank has done is cut jobs the last handful of years plus they’ve never invested any money in training or certifications for employees. It feels pretty disingenuous when they’ve never seemed to care about career development before.

This employee appreciation week is full of nothingness. Just like everything else being thrown together. It’s meaningless and pointless. Generic is what I’ll call it.

Put as much effort into it as leaders are putting into appreciation week.

I understand some people respond to or need these goals to help them perform...BUT NOT ALL EMPLOYEES need it and for those who don't like myself, I hate these stupid things. They continue to find non-important work to force on us which drives us away from why we were hired in the first place.

Another example of how this management group is clueless to those who do the real work for the company.

This kind of sh-t is a “check the box” thing. Take 10 minutes and fill it out.

I think that's more of a workday thing than a US Bank thing if I had to guess. I think Workday is pushing their services to employers and possibly providing discounts for their services if a certain number of employees utilize the services.
