Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

What the h*ll is wrong with your company?

I made a mistake and tried to use at&t in 2018. I terminated service after 3 months due to their inability to provide coverage during business travels. Now some of my information has been shared. I am not yet sure how extensive my exposure is. They knew about this breach in 2021 and chose to gamble. They knew it was made public 10 days ago and chose gambling again over responsibility. They release a statement on a holiday weekend. What, hoping it would fly under the radar? Do you not have security teams? Once again your greedy company has exposed itself as being nothing more than a sock full of clowns. This is not a 12 hour outage. It has the potential to haunt millions for years. Att needs to be investigated and hopefully charged for criminal negligence.

"T-Mobile has had around 10 data 'branches' in the last year" I believe the sage SECURITY EXPERT means BREACHES.

The C-suite is more concerned with RTO, relocation, and cutting costs than actually running the company and producing a good product, is the problem.

I’d love to see a whistleblower go to the press with how things are run here.

cso was never anything very impressive.

this is what happens when you let sbc buy back the baby bells and then increase their coverage size all the while the company cuts employees because they have AI lol.

att needs to be destroyed and broken into a thousands pieces and scattered into the wind. it is obvious they have some other agenda than running a telecom business.

....You made a mistake and we made a mistake. Let's just move on ok?

The problem with "moving on" is it is apparent that our executives never learn from their mistakes and history, so they will indeed move on by repeating the same poor decisions and execution. Moving on is not OK.

It could be worse, T-Mobile has had around 10 data branches in the last year. You obviously have no clue what it takes to protect an enterprise or this size. Many many of companies including government systems have been branches. I'm the world of cyber security you have to be right 100% if the time, the bad actors only need to be right once. Many of these APTs, advanced present threats since I'm sure you h have no clue what APT stands for are government funded and supported. I'm not making excuses for what happened but I am trying to life you out of your ignorant hole so you understand this does not mean the company does not know what they are doing when it comes to cyber security

The folks in India would be glad to sell info since they are paid pennies on the dollar and have nothing to lose and everything to gain($$).

You want to know what’s wrong with T? We could write a 1000 page novel on all the terrible things this company does. Essentially every part of T is broken, antiquated and being held together with duct tape & super glue.

The good news from a coverage perspective the network is much different and AT&T provides more coverage than any other US carrier. The bad news-still the same leadership

Corporate culture of "yes men" most of which do not have an IT background. Companies don't get contracts on merit, but cheapest cost or because they are in the "network".

The leaderships needs to finally have some accountability for all their poor decisions.
