Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Beware of Today's Simulated Phish Attempt

I got an email this morning, where the sender looked like it was noreply@microsoft-office365.com. It said my OneDrive account was set to be deleted due to being unused. I was suspicious, and clicked on Report Spam, and sure enough, it was designed to catch us. Just wanted to give a head's up though, since sender and content, might make it appear legitimate.

@1qez+1rQ0fn5K, actually I wouldn't be surprised if the company really did that. After all, Wells Fargo has the precedent of creating fake customer accounts. You can't make this stuff up!

OP thank you for taking the guesswork out of this exercise and keeping at least one person from wasting time at the remedial course when one fails! 😂

This is a practice by Wells Fargo. The company is planning to start sending many phishing emails to our customers. After all, we have many experts in India.

If you can't figure it out from "micrasoft" then you shouldn't be employed.

Why are people posting about this drivel on layoffs site?

I didn’t even pay attention and just deleted it as more notification fluff. Went back and flagged it just because of this post.

I was almost certain it was legit because it made no mention of my uncle in Nairobi.

To the OP. You are an id--t for alerting everyone and spoiling a corporate phishing exercise, which is designed to verify alertness and employees actions to phishing attempts, and to train them if required. No wonder Americans get scammed all the time by scammers working out of sweatshops out of New Delhi, India and some town in Cambodia.

I had to think about this one for a sec but I noticed they spelled Microsoft wrong.

they have been actively moving everyone to one drive. I'm actually happy to see they are getting more clever with these phishing tests. Most of the time they are pretty obvious but this one will define catch a lot of people.

Well… yes, we use OneDrive extensively. If you have a VDI, you are using OneDrive. If you have a laptop, you are using OneDrive.

Games people play. I’ve got a teammate that has to go to Phishing Webinar for 2 failures

This is probably a paid for service your company buys like Knowbe4. To see who is a clicker and train them.

And some people are shocked at how easily people are scammed out of their money. Do people really think they have some sort of OneDrive for work?
