Whereas it is true that there have been layoffs at Google, AWS, Meta et al. in recent times , none of them layoff people every quarter as a “strategy” like Cisco does. This has now become a normalised Cisco culture. BTW, there ar companies who do jot do layoffs because their strategies work: Apple and Equinix are just two examples. And check out their stock prices.

As noted these upcoming layoffs were announced months ago, so is known news. Although Cisco isn’t the same place it was, and a lot of what has happened from a strategic level raises more questions than answers and there will likely be more big layoffs in the new financial year (beyond the ones already announced),
Keep in mind that a lot of other tech companies including Google, Aws, Meta to name a few are also doing regular layoffs and they also have their major challenges.

Cisco allocated what, $800M for all the layoffs from Q3FY2024 through Q1FY2025? If you don't have proof that Cisco is going to spend and lay off far more you're just trying to stir up anxiety. Otherwise take Cisco at its word that layoffs funded by this amount will be occurring through Q1FY2025 and expect based on past behavior that won't be the end of layoffs at Cisco.

This guy (@pre+1rRKt6BA) has appeared during last couple of days, telling people to shut up and leave Cisco in questionable English at every thread here. Very likely HR troll and/or suffering from post koolaid party hangover.

It’s a site to post information about Layoffs and you’re complaining about people posting about layoffs on this site?

To the over sensitive Cisco Uber fan below, Cisco have business procedures which are fine. The issue is when individuals abuse their position (execs) and go against Ciscos business procedures and principles, and target people. The situation deteriorates further when those you put your faith into, fail to provide both the contractural and also legal obligations they are supposed to provide and have promised to uphold, zero tolerance to harassment etc. It is that moment when Cisco and those in responsibility let all decent Cisco employees down. Everyone understands business adapt and need to change, but when it’s personal and vengeful it’s wrong
