First I would like to say sorry to everyone who has lost their job at citi. As an employee at citi for over 20 plus years I have seen many changes and layoffs at citi. I was disappointed when city changed their severance package from 4 weeks every year worked to 2 weeks per year. Other than that citigroup has always treated me well and is a good company to work for. I can understand blaming management for their failures that contributed to the layoffs but layoffs are apart of working. We need to see the truth, that citigroup has no real potential to grow and the only way they can satisfy shareholders is to cut costs. That means A.I doing are jobs ,layoffs, closings, sending jobs overseas and requiring employees to do more than can be done in a day. It's just the way it is. We can't change it. We just need to be at peace with it and try get out of Debt and save for the day that my be our day. I chose to not worry to to be prepared for what coming

Jane along with her Cronies planted post. We still demand management change. Citi management is outdated and rotten!
Thank You for this statement. There is a lot of blame: DEI, Management Failure, Offshore Resourcing, Greed, Investors, etc. but the real truth is just what you said.
AI is being way oversold. Once AI has run its very expensive course, Citi will find that it doesn't have the structure needed to optimally use AI. Of course, by the time Citi figures it out, Jane, BCG, and the AI "gurus" will be long gone along with all their $millions
I am surprised you haven't been called an HR bot yet. But I agree. There is nothing we can do about it besides try to prepare. I am currently trying to pay off all of my debts so that when the time comes I can take a short break and start something fresh. I do not like what is happening, but I do know that it is out of my control. I'd rather work somewhere where my work ethic is appreciated.
