I never thought about the ghosting option, but it would be a neat experiment.

The GSS will not let you quit on the spot or if you last day is within 3 days. Just send a resignation notice via email. By tomorrow they will remove you from the system
entirely. (I just completed this process with a subordinate.)

Easy they even have a self service category to resign on employee self service page down the menu from report your time and review your check. Point click and quit.

Or just ghost them and see how long it takes before the checks stop

talk with HR that is the funniest thing i have ever read.

Its easy...you are an "at will" employee. That means you can quit (or be let go) with little warning or dialog. My piece of advice is to never burn bridges. Be respectful (even if you feel you were disrespected) as it shows you are a mature, professional person. Let them know why you are leaving and thank them for the opportunity. Remember future employers may ask your past employer about you...never give them a reason to say anything bad about you. Good luck!

Outside office, no electronics : Ask him directly if he can get you in the list and get severance. I am sitting on the next table at 2 O clock. Never knew you like Texas Roadhouse

I would be careful. There must be reasons. Maybe chat with hr first?
