Does anyone have any idea what the losses might mean for the Irish site? It's like parallel universes here, one day we are talking about new investment to expand and the next losses and layoffs.

Thanks for the two insightful comments about demand and capacity. As for the other two comments referencing potatoes? Well honestly if this is the calibre of employees elsewhere, Ireland's future is bright.
Intel Ireland is well positioned for an upswing in demand. Mod 2 in F34 is shell and ready to go when the demand is realised. After the impact of the relatively small amount of lay-offs at the start of 2023, the site is getting back on the level and there is a good vibe about the place.
It means they all are required to harvest 10lbs potato to make up for the lost revenue. Happy?
It doesn't mean much. Unless Intel goes belly up (which I wouldn't rule out the way things are going) Intel Ireland should see another 10 years of manufacturing with what is there right now...
