Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Have RTO Reports Been Updated?

I’m a L2 and saw the report when it first came out. Very limited - just shows if you badged in 3 days a week. No time in office. And if you took 1 PTO day the week was grayed out.

For those with access - has that changed? Can they see how long your laptop is on the intranet? Does it still block out PTO weeks?

Don’t listen to these du----s fear mongers.

The report shows badge swipes and assigns you a “color” based on whether you are above or below the threshold set by your organization. PTO days and anything coded in Infor are represented on the report, but they do not exempt you from that week. For example, if your organization mandates that you work in office 4 days and you take vacation on a Friday, you need to be in office Monday thru Thursday. Also, these reports are highly inaccurate, even with badge swipes. Your leadership team should be sharing them with you to ensure they are accurate.

There are rumors that the report can or will evaluate time spent on LAN vs VPN, but we have yet to see proof of that. They’ve tried that many times before with no success because there are too many variables involved. If and when that happens, leave your laptop in the office when you are done. Work from your COU if possible. There’s nothing they will be able to do about it.

I refer to you as a badger. The reports are working. People are being put on a plan. Get in or get out. Don’t think you are special. You aren’t. Get over yourself and do what they said you have to do. You make it worse for everyone. No one likes it! It’s horrible. There was no planning, they don’t care. If you think they do remember they are paying people to babysit and run reports while they scheme to get rid of people that actually work

I don't have any details other than HR's technology team has been very busy fine tuning the report. In my opinion the tool is simply a way to justify layoffs/firings (not that they need to justify it). We need to focus on moving the business forward, not backward. Imagine the money we could save if we had sold off real estate before the pandemic.
