RIFs Are A TDC Core Competency

TDC has done so many layoffs the past 6 years it’s something we are really good at. Flawless execution. 10 heartless minute calls and another one bites the dust. I survived another round. Glad I’m retiring in a year or two. If you are younger GTFO!

Does India HR conduct the calls for EMEA and/or Americas?

They may have done a lot of redundancies, but the HR team in India is still very amateur at what they do. Spelling mistakes in letters and when you get them on a call and put the fire against them, they have no capability to respond. They just melt. NM in India is out of his depth and a fool who wouldn't find a role anywhere else. The quality of his work is poor.

If you get him on a Riff call, take your time, put pressure on him and you'll get what you want.

If HR members would get $50 every time they laid off someone, some of them at Teradata could have bought a sedan by now.

I was laid off in 2020...was with the company for 10 years and it looks like TDC is still sticking to their 'layoff the people in the trenches but keep the ELT" playbook.
