In addition to not being able to identify blatant risks, the lip smacking when they talk is something that drives me insane.
Severely lack adequate experience and training.

Internal audit is just enforcing something until we don’t. A year letter it comes back. Then it goes. Repeat forever for the hundreds of points we audit for.
Your points of contact in other departments are being replaced with outsourced, undertrained people.
The workload is artificially increasing as our managers attempt to look important amongst layoffs.
I hope we get canned soon. It’s bleak

With everything being centralized and less files in the branches, I assume the next big layoffs will be in that (audit) department. What are they going to audit?
People who failed at other positions in the firm usually join that department as an "auditor." Overpaid and underworked.
I willfind anything wrong with what you're doing to save and justify my job.
